Abstract
Nowadays, the programme planning of nationwide Spanish television does not contain, contrary to previous decades, popular programmes of relevance for the popularization science. This situation is specially painful in the relation to the children and adolescent audience who are forced to the exclusive comsuption of cartoons, quizshows, series of fiction... of low standard contents. The free access and quality popularization programmes have been left behind, broadcasted in second order public channels and in minority audience´s timetables. In this background, the different offers of payasyouview television satisfy the curiosity of citizens interested in science.
