Resumo
A capacidade de comunicar-se eficazmente é um aspecto fundamental da educação. Para estudantes universitários, aprender a falar em público é essencial para o futuro acadêmico e profissional. No entanto, muitos alunos relatam medo de falar em público, conhecido como ansiedade de falar em público (AFP – ou PSA). Este estudo tem como objetivo implementar um programa de treinamento utilizando Realidade Virtual (RV) com distratores para reduzir a ansiedade de estudantes universitários medida com atividade eletrodérmica e métodos auto-relatados. Para isso, utilizou-se um grupo experimental e um grupo controle. Ambos os grupos tiveram que fazer o mesmo discurso / fala duas vezes: pré-teste (antes do treinamento) e pós-teste (após o treinamento) enquanto a atividade eletrodérmica era medida. Apenas o grupo experimental foi treinado com RV. Os alunos também preencheram uma escala de ansiedade para falar em público e uma pesquisa para examinar sua experiência. Os resultados mostraram que o treinamento de RV reduziu significativamente os níveis de ansiedade no grupo experimental e não houve diferenças significativas no grupo controle. Os dados também revelaram um maior nível de ansiedade em estudantes do sexo masculino do que em estudantes do sexo feminino. Por fim, os participantes relataram uma impressão positiva do treinamento de RV. Esses resultados mostram a eficácia do treinamento de RV com distratores para reduzir a ansiedade ao falar em público.
