Abridged communication as an identity mark of young people today

Abstract

Young people of today have grown up in the information age, and they have a fast and intuitive inmersion in it. Therefore, abridged communication has emerged. Using chats and SMS, young people have created their own slang which they use to reconizge themselves as a group. This new way of communication identifies them as a group and differenciate them from others.
