Television and childhood: teacher’s formation perspective

Abstract

Nowadays, the potential of television, as an agent of informal and non-formal education and as an inescapable element of formal education, demands a specific preparation of the teaching staff. The present communication offers the results of a questionnaire which is applied to manage to get teaching students’ believes and criterions about the today’s television programmes and the functions of the school related to this medium. The results are considered as the beginning for a significant learning and an enrichment of the practical thought in relation to these subjects of teachers in training.
