Abstract

El propósito de este estudio cualitativo es empoderar a las jóvenes fans chinas en las redes sociales mediante inteligencia artificial (como influenciadores virtuales) para controlar su imagen corporal. El estudio pretendió investigar las opiniones, experiencias y obstáculos de los fans en relación con la percepción, aceptación y satisfacción de la imagen corporal mediante entrevistas a profundidad a 21 informantes. A partir de las preguntas de las entrevistas y de los fines y objetivos de la investigación, se formularon un total de 11 temas para realizar el análisis temático. Según los resultados, la participación de los fans, el uso de las redes sociales y la exposición a ideales corporales de influenciadores virtuales tuvieron un efecto en las percepciones de la imagen corporal y entre las jóvenes fans chinas. Los resultados también pusieron de relieve la importancia del apoyo social y de los grupos de fans positivos para fomentar la satisfacción con la imagen corporal. Las implicaciones teóricas y prácticas de este estudio se suman a la literatura actual al arrojar luz sobre la compleja interacción entre la celebridad virtual, las prácticas de los fans, las redes sociales y la satisfacción con la imagen corporal. El estudio subraya la importancia de las intervenciones específicas y las redes de apoyo que responden a los problemas concretos que experimentan las jóvenes fans chinas a la hora de mantener la confianza para adoptar una imagen corporal saludable. También se discuten los puntos débiles del estudio y las futuras líneas de investigación
