Abstract
El presente estudio analiza la interrelación entre feminismo, videojuegos y educación utilizando como objeto de estudio la plataforma Steam. Este análisis se centra en los videojuegos etiquetados como feministas por la comunidad de personas usuarias y desarrolladoras usuarios, evaluando su potencial educativo-formativo. Con un enfoque metodológico de métodos mixtos, el trabajo aborda un análisis de contenido de las fichas, comentarios y materiales promocionales de 30 videojuegos, seleccionados mediante las herramientas de búsqueda de la plataforma. El estudio explora las características de los videojuegos identificados como feministas, la terminología utilizada por los usuarios para describirlos, las percepciones y comentarios de los jugadores y las jugadoras, la personalización de personajes y roles de género, así como sus potencialidades educativas. Los resultados revelan que estos videojuegos tienden a pertenecer a géneros como aventuras y juegos de rol y suelen estar desarrollados por pequeños estudios independientes. Se destacan las posibilidades de los videojuegos para trabajar el feminismo en las aulas, promoviendo valores de equidad de género, empatía y habilidades críticas mediante narrativas inclusivas y personalizables. Sin embargo, el estudio también evidencia desafíos, como la limitada representación diversa en los avatares y personajes, y el rechazo de parte de la comunidad a los discursos feministas. Finalmente, se proponen estrategias pedagógicas y un sistema de etiquetado educativo para facilitar la integración de videojuegos con perspectiva de género en entornos escolares.
